Solitary Opalescence

Moonlight blankets white
capped waves.
Neon opalescence.
Toes sink into powdered
sugar sand,
silk slips between.

Rays of silver peek
between wisps
of scattered
midnight clouds.
Reflect off bare legs,
stark white pallor.

Alone on the driftwood
bench I close my eyes,
letting the dark light
soak in.
Detached,
stolen moments of
midnight solitary.
